Our Technology Vision

At RIS we understand the need for our students to research, investigate, control, analyze and communicate using ICT. We endeavour to facilitate learning through a technology enriched learning environment that enables students to  achieve high quality learning outcomes . We encourage all students to become discriminating, ethical, responsible and safe users of ICT.
We follow the Cambridge ICT Starters curriculum that  introduces learners, typically aged 5 to 14 years, to the key ICT applications they need to achieve computer literacy and to understand the impact of technology on our daily lives.
This syllabus operates at three levels :
        Initial Steps
        Next Steps
        On Track.
We have categorized technological skills into the following themes:
  1. Communication
  2. Control
  3. Data Analysis
  4. Research and awareness
PROGRESSION
Each Stage of the curriculum has been designed to facilitate progression through the scheme. Students will develop the skills demanded for  particular applications through each level, so that they can build on the competence that they have achieved previously.
